In a recent session, I watched a psychologist describe her frustration. Not just heard it - watched it. Her right hand tight and repetitive every time she described feeling stuck. A lean to the left - the full emotional weight of it. Her nervous system in the anxiety loop, playing out in real time before she'd finished her second sentence.

I didn't offer a reframe. I asked her to lean slightly right and gesture with her left hand as she kept speaking.

The two patterns

Anxiety doesn't look the same in every body.

This workshop focuses on the two most common patterns. You'll likely recognise yourself in one - or both. Depending on the context you could experience both at different times.

Pattern one

Always on.

Stopping is not an option. Hip tension. Back tension. Jaw tension. Bracing - “on” all the time.
Your anxiety doesn't look like falling apart. It looks like control. It looks like someone who has it all together. Underneath - a nervous system running on high alert that has forgotten how to let go. The inflammation builds quietly.

Pattern two

Can't land.

Always in your head. Thoughts on repeat. Living in the future, in the what-ifs, one step away from overwhelm. You feel it in the stomach. Indecisive. Foggy. Scattered. Disconnected from your body and unsure what it even needs.

Both patterns have a body story. And both have tools that actually address what's happening - not just what you're thinking about it.

I know what it is to have a nervous system that won't settle.

I grew up in Johannesburg - a place where survival wasn't a metaphor. When I immigrated, my nervous system didn't get the memo. I spent ten years in talk therapy understanding why. What I couldn't do was feel safe.

Because understanding something with your mind is not the same as your body feeling safe.

Over 25 years working with clients - from top athletes to postnatal women to CEOs, practitioners to children - I kept seeing the same thing: anxiety lives in the body long before it finds words. And when you learn to read it there, something shifts that no amount of thinking has been able to reach.

Is this workshop for anyone? Yes. This workshop is for anyone who is struggling with anxiety or is supporting others struggling with anxiety

What happens in the workshop? There will be some theory and mostly practical applications to read your body and read others. You’ll learn the meanings behind your foot placement, hand gestures, somatic meanings behind how your body feels and moves and techniques techniques that reset your movement patterns and perspectives to reset your Nervous System and Mindset.

Do I need prior experience? No. Whether you're a practitioner or an individual on your own healing journey - the techniques accessible and immediately applicable from day one.

What if I have complex trauma or PTSD? The topics we cover in this workshop will not be covered in this workshop. The first step is to get a sense of safety and calm in your body and then joining me in 1:1 sessions or the Certifications to get a deeper understanding behind the impacts of trauma on your body.

I need to talk about my past? No. We work with what the body is doing now - in the present moment - not with the story of how it got there.

Can I use this with clients straight away? Yes. The tools are practical and immediately applicable to your clients and yourself.

What support is there after the workshop? I will be in touch personally to arrange a 1:1 chat to discuss the next steps and arrange 1:1 sessions or further training depending on what is most aligned for where you’re at and what you’re needing next.
